Wow, what a strange year 2024 was. I don’t know about you personally, but the whole year I was contemplating a strange feeling that I had. It was almost a feel of impending doom mixed with a feeling of uncertainty. Perhaps getting older I have felt like the end of my journey here on Earth was beginning to wrap up as I have had a feeling finality approaching. Whether that day comes next week or twenty years down the road only Yahweh knows, but I do think that he prepares his Saints for eventualities making that time easier to accept when it comes.

The feelings above were like a cake but the antics of the Deep State along with other bad actors certainly didn’t help to allay the things going on in my spirit. Up until November 06 I think that most of us felt as if the life of our nation had been circling the drain, like we were a nation in hospice just waiting for the event that would pronounce the death of the USA, but the reelection of Donald Trump breathed new life into our nation and a feeling of reprieve (at least for a while anyway) had been announced all over the world. Waiting for Biden to say the next stupid thing or having him sign some new legislation into law became a daily theme for many of us. There were countless newfound comedian’s that spoke out verbally or in cartoon form or in countless internet memes the nonsensible rantings of Biden and other Deep State scum that helped us to keep the attitude that we were not alone when it came to seeing and hearing the meaningless chatter of Joe Biden and “corn pop.” Thanks to all of those people who helped us to get through this daily crap. In what became almost daily calls back and forth with my dear friend Ralph Epperson we always agreed that it was the laughing at the morons and the chaos that the introduced with seemingly no end literally kept us from succumbing to the bad news that we witnessed in so many ways.

The state of my health was quite concerning in 2024. I have a condition called atrial fibrillation that thankfully hasn’t flared up much the past few years. My doctor found out that my adrenal glands make too much of a steroid called aldosterone which depletes potassium in our bodies. I was making too much aldosterone and when it would bring my potassium levels lower my arrythmia would manifest. He put me on a diuretic that reduces aldosterone levels which allows the potassium to stay within established norms. Years of standing for hours at a time as a pharmacy technician took its tool recently. Over the past three or so years I have been suffering from swelling legs and feet, something that they called lipedema. The diuretic helps with that too and daily wrapping of my legs helps them to look normal, for the most part. If you don’t know from mention on the radio show, a little over two years ago I fell off a ladder while renovating this little cottage. The result was a fractured vertebrae and some nerve damage. I have been taking pain meds to relieve the pain but they tend to make me tired, and along with the anemia they caused me to fall asleep in the strangest places, one of them being during the live radio show. Sitting through a church service last year was difficult too. My wife would constantly poke me with her elbow to wake me but it happened so much that going to church was not an option anymore. Without having to go into much more there were some other physical things that affected me in a negative manner but I feel that they’re too personal to mention here.

The radio program has always been my joy and delight. Still, after close to fifteen years on the air I still get excited about the program and all of the research that I have to do to put a show together. I don’t know if other talk shows have the same affect on their hosts, but my audience is like my family and I feel an obligation to the shows audience much like I feel obligatory to my family for their needs and such. With that having been said it is probably the biggest bummer in life when I have technical issues with the program. I don’t have a producer to do the technical stuff for me so I am producer, host and chief bottle washer of the entire shebang. I’m not complaining about my duties, but about the things that get in my way of presenting content in a smooth and consistent manner. Last year was a year of downtime because of internet issues or equipment failure that I find annoying and aggravating. Add to that the fact that we are on a tightly fixed income it often is a hardship financially when equipment fails of the lousy internet that we have here messes up. About two years ago I got a promise from a new fiber internet company that we would have service in a very short time, short I guess if we’re dealing in geological time factors. They’ll come out and run some cable and then they aren’t seen for months.

So as you can see, 2024 made for a very interesting year with much tsuris. This new year however brings some hope with it. The election of a real American who is not a traitor beings hope. Biden will be a distant memory starting on inauguration day, which incidentally just came into being as the clock just struck midnight. I have no doubt that this new year with a newsworthy year full of good achievements and reversals of stupid legislation and bad decisions. Hopefully it will be a year of justice as many evil doers are brought to justice via tribunals and terminal justice for those found guilty. There will be a lot of material to report on for sure.

When we look at the history of ancient Israel and compare it with our current time it is easy to see parallels between that time and our current era. Their society would always degrade until they were an abomination to all who saw their lawlessness. After a while the people would labor under the burden of lawlessness and sin and they would pray for deliverance from their malevolent leaders. A few times deliverers would come to abolish the wickedness of the society and to establish righteousness and justice to the land. While that shows us hope as it did for the inhabitants of the land back then was always shattered when the leader died or was killed. Without fail a far more wicked king would be established who destroyed all of the good that the righteous king established. So while it will look good for four years or so this next four years we should strive to bring another righteous successor after Trump’s term is over. You can start today to bring that about with prayer.

Well, I have come to the conclusion of this fairly long diatribe will end my discussion now. It has been a pleasure to run this radio program and I look forward to years more of the same. Most of all however, aside from being obedient to Yahweh, bringing entertainment and thought to you my audience it is a blessing to me to be in the company of those who think alike with me and trudge forward with an undying fervor toward attaining the prize that awaits us at the finish line.
